The story follows the lives of four sisters – Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy – as they grow up in nineteenth-century New England. Though the sisters are very different from one another, they share a close bond that is tested time and again as they experience the joys and sorrows of life. Part coming-of-age story and part family drama, Little Women is a timeless tale that has charmed readers of all ages for generations. Today, the book remains one of the most popular works by Louisa May Alcott, and its influence can still be seen in books, movies, and TV shows.  I read the book when I was about 7 or 8 and that’s why i bought this one and Jo in the early 90’s.
